MP govt transfers 23 officials

Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Government has transferred 23 officials following the clearance from the State Election Commission, official sources said today.

The clearance was necessary in view of the enforcement of Model Code of Conduct in the state following declaration of the dates for the ensuing assemby polls.

The transfers came after these officials spent three years at a same place (of posting), they said.

Those transferred include a IAS officer, 17 Additional Collectors, three Joint Collectors and two deputy collectors, sources said.

The government has directed them to join their new place of posting by October 22,the sources added.
