Puducherry: People of Puducherry celebrated Diwali, the festival of light , with traditional joy and jubilation today.
Clad in new garments the young and the old offered worship at various shrines, including the famous temples of Sri Manakula Vinayakar, Sri Varadarajaperumal and Sri Vedapureeswarar. Lt Governor Govind Singh Gurjar, Chief Minister V Vaithilingam and his cabinet colleagues greeted the public on the occasion of the festival.
