UP govt announces reward for Thokia gang

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government today declared reward of Rs 20,000 each on five members of slain Ambika Patel alias Thokia gang, Home department sources said here.

The reward has been declared on Dipak alias Awadhesh Patel, brother of slain Thokia, Shiv Murat, Shiv Naresh, Suresh Patel alias Balkharia and Chunnilal alias Mehman, Additional Director General, Law and Order Brijlal told reporters here.

He said that after Thokia was killed, attempts were on to nab the dacoits, who had taken command of the gang after his elimination.
