Three arrested for killing deer

Shrawasti: Three persons have been arrested for killing a deer in Girant area of Sohelwa forest reserve, a forest official said today.

The deer came out of the forest in Girant yesterday morning and had reached near a brick kiln, where a group of labourers killed him, Divisional Forest Officer P K Singh said.

Three persons were arrested and have been booked under Wildlife Protection Act 1972,he said, adding they have been sent to jail.

Police also recovered deer horns and flesh from them.
