Govt, intelligence agencies lack coordination: AGP
Friday, October 31, 2008 19:09 [IST]
Guwahati:The opposition Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) today alleged that a coordination between the police intelligence wing and the government is lacking in the state.

"While the intelligence wing claims the involvement of HuJI in yesterday s serial blasts, a senior minister and government spokesman has held the ULFA responsible," AGP president Chandra Mohan Patowary told reporters here.

"This is an apparent attempt to protect the Jehadi elements for political gains on the part of the government", he alleged.

"Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has no moral right to continue in office even for a minute... He has to quit owing moral responsibility for failing to protect innocent lives," Patowary said.

The party will hold a candle light process tomorrow to pay tribute to the victims, he said.
