Washington: Whether or not US President-elect Barack Obama can reclaim the American dream is yet to be seen but he for sure has made his publishers dream come true.
The world had no idea that the book, The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream. which documents writer Obama's policy positions on a host of issues, would catapult the first-time senator, to national prominence so much so that the entire country would embrace his values and make him the President of United States.
And now that the Illinois Senator has been elected to the White House, the book is flying off shelves along with his Dreams From My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance published in 1995 before his political career began, media reports said.
The latter saw a boost in its sales after November 4 with people, who just can't get enough of Obama, trying to get an insight into his past life through this memoire.
According to media reports, publishers are planning to cash in on his historic victory by rushing-out extra copies of these books, which occupy top slots on Amazon.com's best seller list and have entered WH Smith's bestseller list for the first time this week despite being on sale for years.
