Islamabad: At least 10 militants were killed in suspected US missile strikes in Pakistan's tribal area Friday, Geo TV reported.
Several missiles struck a suspected Al Qaeda hideout in the North Waziristan tribal district bordering Afghanistan, and initial reports said 10 militants were killed.
Pakistan's tribal areas bordering Afghanistan have seen a number of missile attacks by US drones, some of which killed civilians, blamed by US forces in Afghanistan on misleading intelligence.
The cross-border air offensives have evoked strong protests and condemnation in Pakistan. Islamabad has asked the US to respect its sovereignty and warned of reactions to such attacks in the future.
