New Delhi: Former union minister and Congress leader P Shivshankar today endorsed the statements of AICC general secretary Margaret Alva and senior leader Yogendra Makwana that tickets are up for sale in the Congress.
Shivshankar arrived at the residence of Alva to extend his support and said that after he resigned from the Congress in 2004,he wrote a letter to Congress President Sonia Gandhi apprising her about the sale of party tickets in Andhra Pradesh.
The Dalit leader, who is out of the party for the last four years said, "I quit the Congress because it is no longer the same Congress in which I started my political career."
Shivshankar said that Alva's allegations should be probed so that the truth comes out as there is no transparency in the party.
