Thursday, November 13, 2008 12:12 [IST]

Baghdad: An Iraqi soldier Wednesday killed four US soldiers and wounded three others after an altercation west of the town of Mosul, 400 km north of Baghdad.

A security source told DPA that the "Iraqi soldier opened fire on a group of US soldiers after an angry dispute. The Iraqi soldier died in the fire exchange."

The incident increases the number of US soldiers killed in Iraq in November to seven, raising the number of US soldiers who have died since the US-led invasion in 2003 to 4,197.
