Five kg of RDX and other explosives recovered

Jammu: Security forces have recovered five kg of RDX and other explosives in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here today.

On a specific information, police and Rashtriya Rifle troops launched a search operation in loran area of Poonch district yesterday, they said, adding during the search they recovered five kg of RDX and six black tubes filled with explosives from a hideout.

In another incident, the troops busted another militant hideout in Sanjiot area of the same district and recovered one remote control IED circuit and 30 pencil cells, they said.
