Cornyn, Founder and Co Chair of Friends of India Caucus in the US Senate, was at the Annual Awards Banquet of the Greater Dallas Indo-American Chamber of Commerce.

"It was great opportunity for Indian Americans to welcome back their best friend in the Senate, hear his thoughts and thank him for his support to start the only country focused in the Senate, not only be a co-sponsor of US India civil nuclear bill but a driving force to bring it to the final conclusion which is now known as 123 agreement," said Ashok Mago, the Founding Chair of the Dallas Indo-American Chamber of Commerce.

"We missed our chief guest Ambassador Ronen Sen who could not participate because of the Indian Prime Minister's visit to Washington DC to attend the one-day financial summit of the Leaders of the G-20 called by the President George W Bush" Mago said in a Statement.

Among those who were honoured with awards were American Airlines for Outstanding Corporate Contributions; Perot Systems for Indo-American Corporate Excellence; Professor Varghese Jacob of the University of Texas at Dallas for Education; Professor Ravi Vallabhan of Bayor Health Care for Medicine; Satish Gupta for Community Service; Jaipal Reddy of Radio Salam Namaste for Media and Purvi Patel of Haynes and Boone as an Outstanding Young Professional.
