Weekly crossing of people at LoC postponed

Srinagar: The authorities today postponed till tomorrow the weekly crossing of people at the Line of Control (LoC) at Chakan-da-Bagh in view of the polling in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

"The weekly crossing of bus passengers at LoC at Chakan-da-Bagh in Poonch scheduled for today has been postponed till tomorrow in view of assembly elections in the district," an official spokesman said.

Polling began in three constituencies of Poonch along with three assembly segments of Bandipora and four constituencies of the Ladakh region this morning.

The spokesman said all arrangements have been made in this regard and confirmation has been sought from Pakistan.
