Five naxalites arrested in Ellareddipet

Karimnagar: Five naxalites have been arrested from the outskirts of Ellareddipet mandal headquarters near here, police said today.

The five were arrested by a special police party on Sunday after a tip off, Sircilla Deputy Superintendent of Police, P Ashok said. Five soap bombs, CPI ML party posters, banners and red flags were also recovered from them, he said.

The arrested Janshakti naxalites - identified as Janga Anji Reddy alias Goutam (20), Kodimunja Balanarsu (22), Jakkula Nandaiah alias Nazeer (22), Kothakonda Babu alias Chakali Babu (23) and Kothapalli Ellam alias Ellaiah (24) have been sent to judicial custody.
