POTA court acquits two in 2003 Mumbai blasts case

Mumbai: The POTA court today acquitted two arrested accused in the 2003 Mumbai twin blasts case.

The duo --Rizwan Ladduwala and Mohammed Hassan Batterywala were acquitted by the court following the Supreme Court order that there is no prima facie evidence against the accused.

The special POTA court also withdrew the case against the two and directed for their release.

In August 2003,two blasts occurred in the city -- one at Gateway of India while the other at Jhaveri Bazar.
