BJP promises media centre for journalists
Tuesday, November 18, 2008 18:14 [IST]

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Tuesday promised to build a media club and a modern media centre for journalists in the Indian capital - if it won the Delhi assembly elections.

"We will construct a separate Indraprastha club and a very modern media centre for media persons of Delhi," Delhi BJP chief Harsh Vardhan told reporters while releasing the party's manifesto for the Nov 29 election.

He also promised to reserve a portion of government houses for journalists. He said the party will evolve a simplified policy to grant accreditation to journalists.
