Srinagar: Repolling began in four polling stations of Sonawari and Kargil assembly constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir today.

The Election Commission had ordered repoll in the four stations in the two constituencies after the polling was suspended on Monday following a clash between supporters of two parties.

The polling began at about 8.00 am and more than 31 per cent of voters cast their ballots by 11.15 am, an official spokesman said.

In the two polling stations at Poshwari in Sonawari segment, 500 of the 1501 voters cast their votes while at Chaliskote and Apati polling stations in Kargil, 377 of the 1319 voters cast their franchise by 11.15 hours.
