Lucknow: About fifty engineering students were injured when the bus they were travelling in fell into a ditch in Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh Thursday, police said.

The conditions of three victims were reported to be critical.

"The incident took place at around 11 a.m. when the bus of Shivdan Engineering College was ferrying the students to the college," inspector of Iglas police station V.K. Tripathi told IANS on phone.

He said the driver lost control at a sharp turn and the bus fell into a deep ditch in Aligarh, about 300 km from here.
