Agartala: Two insurgents of the outlawed National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) have surrendered to the police and one AK-56 rifle was recovered by Assam Rifles in Tripura, police said today.

The two insurgents surrendered to the police at Manu in Dhalai district yesterday.

Police said they recovered the rifle from a deserted hilltop hut in which the ultras might have stayed.
