Cong has no vision for MP's development: Chouhan
Friday, November 21, 2008 15:52 [IST]

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Friday expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would come back to power in the state, and claimed that the Congress lacked vision for the development of the state.

Referring to the claim of the Congress that it would win in the state under any circumstances, Chouhan asked: "Is the Congress planning to create disturbance to affect the poll process on the day of voting?"

Speaking to reporters here, Chouhan said that the Congress lacks "development vision" with the result that the state remained backward despite 50 years of its (Congress) rule. He claimed that the development in the state done by the BJP in the last five years was much more than what had been achieved by the Congress.

"Madhya Pradesh would not have remained backward, had the Congress exploited the ample resources in the state for its development," Chouhan said.

Chouhan said that the people of the state would again vote for the BJP on the basis of "unprecedented" development works carried out by it in the past five years.
