New Delhi: In a bid to repeat its newly-floated success mantra of "social engineering", BSP has deputed several party leaders from Uttar Pradesh in Delhi.
Around 4,000 party workers and leaders from Uttar Pradesh are helping the party candidates in the capital with the tricks of campaign which the party successfully implemented there.
At least two MLAs from the party have been deputed in each constituency to help candidates in canvassing votes. Even party chief Mayawati will be addressing three rallies here to garner support for the party.
"About two MLAs have been deputed in each constituency to teach the candidates, many of whom are the first timers, the art of politics. They will also speak about the clean administration that Mayawati provides in Uttar Pradesh," a senior party leader said.
The party s foot soldiers, who have been chosen for a particular segment on the basis of their caste, will be moving around in localities highlighting the new mantra of BSP that the party cares not only for Dalits but also for upper castes.
A source in the party said one each MP has also been deployed to oversee the electoral campaign in a parliamentary segments, keeping in mind the next year s Lok Sabha elections.
"While MP Ashok Rawat has been deployed in East Delhi, Brajesh Pathak will look after the North-east seat. Rajesh Verma will also campaign at one segment in the capital," the sources added.
