3 arrested for violating election code of conduct

Jabalpur: The police arrested three persons with Rs 51,000 cash and impounded three vehicle laden with election publicity material of former State Health Minister and BJP candidate from Patan rural seat of the district Ajay Vishnoi, following a complaint that election code of conduct was being violated.

The police late on Saturday night have booked Aditya Patel, Akhilesh Singh and Amit Kosta under sections 188,34 and 171 (8) of IPC and rule 66/192 of Motor Vehicle Act.

One Hanif Khan had lodged complaint that the election code of conduct was being violated by the BJP in Patan, police said.
