Kalam to deliver lecture at IIM-A
Tuesday, November 25, 2008 17:57 [IST]
Ahmedabad: Former President A P J Abdul Kalam is in the city today to deliver a lecture to participants of the Globalising and Resurgent India through Innovative Transformation (GRIT) course at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM-A) here.

Kalam is here for two days and will discuss issues of leadership and national prosperity index with 70 participants of GRIT, sources in IIM-A said.

He is also likely to be present during the presentation sessions tomorrow where participants of the GRIT course will put forth their ideas in an open forum for discussion.

Earlier this year, Kalam had delivered lectures as part of the same course in September and October.

The GRIT course is aimed at allowing participants to come up with their own ideas about policies in various sectors of the economy.

At the end of this course, students are expected to submit project proposals for creating scenarios based on multiple and if necessary contending options for specific policy and institutional changes.
