Kathmandu: At least nine persons have been killed and over three dozen others sustained injuries when two vehicles had a head on collision at Lakhanpur area of Jhapa district in eastern Nepal, police said today.
The accident occurred last night when a truck hit a minibus at around 8:45 p m in Illam killing nine, including the truck driver, they said.
The injured have been admitted to hospitals in Dharan and Siliguri (India) while 11 of them were released after minor treatment, they said.
