Srinagar: Despite a chill in India-Pakistan ties following the Mumbai terror massacre, trade continued Tuesday between the two halves of Jammu and Kashmir divided between the two countries.

Four trucks carrying apples, red kidney beans and pulses crossed over from the Kashmir Valley to the Pakistani side of Kashmir, officials said.

Another 11 trucks packed with oranges, pomegranates and basmati rice reached the Salamabad trade centre on the Indian side from Chakroti, said the officials.

The LoC divides Jammu and Kashmir between India and Pakistan, which dispute the state's ownership.

Trade across the LOC commenced Oct 21 and has been going on with the help of trucks. The terrorist killings in Mumbai, for which India has blamed elements in Pakistan, threatened to derail the intra-Kashmiri trade.
