Wednesday, December 03, 2008 14:23 [IST]

Machilipatnam: Police is interrogating a cyber cafe owner at Tiruvuru in Krishna district for suspected terror links.

Sheik Mastan (28), a computer science graduate, was being questioned and e-mails sent from his cafe were being analysed for alleged terror links, Krishna district Superintendent of Police D Ramakrishnaiah said.

Some family members of Mastan live in Karachi in Pakistan, he said. Investigation into the matter was on, Ramakrishnaiah added.

A terror outfit, Deendar Anzuman, was found to be active at Nuzvid and Tiruvuru in Krishna district a decade ago and some of its members had been convicted for unlawful activities.
