New Delhi: Pakistan must act with "urgency and resolve" and cooperate "fully and transparently" in the aftermath of the Mumbai terror attacks, US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said here Wednesday.

"Pakistan needs to act with urgency and resolve and needs to cooperate fully and transparently," Rice told reporters during her one-day visit to the Indian capital.

She said her presence in India was to express solidarity and give whatever help needed.

"Perhaps we have some sense of what this is like, the sense of vulnerability, the questions that arise and the desire to make sure it does not happen again," she said.

Rice said she would be speaking to other members of Indian leadership.
