Mumbai: The terror attacks in Mumbai have failed to dampen the spirit of a group of Canadian tourists, who escaped from the jaws of death at Oberoi Trident and they are continuing with their tour plan.
This group of five alighted from Deccan Odyssey at CST Railway Station this morning after their tour of Maharashtra.
"It was a nasty incident, but such incidents take place everywhere. Why should we dump our plans to tour this beautiful country because of an incident which has now passed," said Nancy, a Canadian national and a retired teacher.
Nancy along with her friends Bukle Roger, Nalini, Cliver Ferreira and one more friend was on a tour of India and had checked in at the Oberoi a day before the hotel was targeted by terrorists.
They were supposed to board the Deccan Odyssey from Pune on November 30,but the unprecedented terror attack kept them in the city for almost three days.
Despite this, they caught up with the train at Pune and thoroughly enjoyed their tour even as their luggage lay in their rooms at Oberoi. Source : PTI
