Rice meets Chidambaram
Wednesday, December 03, 2008 18:54 [IST]

New Delhi: US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice today met Home Minister P Chidambaram and discussed the situation arising out of the terror attacks in Mumbai.

The meeting "was about the assistance US can offer," Rice told reporters after the 20-minute talks at the North Block here.

Rice was rushed to India by US President George W Bush in the wake of the terrorist attacks in Mumbai last week that left over 180 people dead, including 22 foreigners.
