UN chief calls Zardari

United Nations: United Nations chief Ban Ki-moon today discussed the terrorist attacks on Mumbai with Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari over telephone. A United Nations spokesperson said Ban and Zardari also discussed Pakistan's request to the UN to set up an inquiry commission into the assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. However, details of the conversation were not immediately available. The world body is yet to take a decision on the nature of commission and its mandate as also how would it be funded, she said, adding that the discussions are ongoing.
