Nashik: Seven persons were killed on the spot when their jeep collided with a truck on Manmad-Yeola road here early today, police said.

The accident occurred when the inmates of the jeep were traveling to Shirdi, they said.

The deceased were identified as Shantaram Krishna Matekar(58), Kiran Shantaram Matekar (30), Ganesh Burkul (50), Sameer Rahim Akhtar (26), Uddhav Ramakrishna Mahajan (58), Yogesh Ashok Talware (30), Anant V Yeole (40), they added.
