Olympian condemns Mumbai terror
Friday, December 05, 2008 00:00 [IST]

Ranchi: Sylvanus Dung Dung, a member of country's 1980 Moscow Olympics hockey gold medal winning team, has expressed his shock at the November 26 Mumbai terror.

"It was bad, very bad that left me sad. We should unitedly fight against terrorism, and I am confident we will thwart those out to divide us," a shocked Olympian said.

"I was dumb struck, thinking what is going on in Mumbai, where I had played several tournaments in my hayday," he said.

Dung, who played the 1978 Indo-Pak hockey series which had been organised after a gap of over 20 years, said at this hour we all should be united in our efforts to combat terrorism.
