No Black Day tomorrow: Muslim body
Saturday, December 06, 2008 02:36 [IST]

New Delhi: A Muslim body fighting for rebuilding of Babri Masjid in Ayodhya will not observe a 'Black Day' tomorrow to protest the demolition of Babri Masjid to express solidarity with the victims of "Pakistan-sponsored" Mumbai terror attacks.

The All India Babri Masjid Re-building Committee (AIBMRC) said it will, instead, send a memorandum to President Pratibha Patil urging her to order the rebuilding of Babri Masjid at its original site in Ayodhya or refer all disputes related to the issue to a Supreme Court for final order.

"We will not observe Black Day tomorrow as is the practice for the past 15 years. We will also not be holding any demonstration due to the recent Pakistan sponsored terrorist attacks in Mumbai and to extend solidarity with the families of the hundreds of innocents who died and injured," AIBMRC president Mohd Younus Siddique told PTI.

Stating that President Pratibha Patil would be moved to transfer the Ayodhya disputes to the apex court, Siddique said, "whatever the decision (the Supreme Court takes, it) will be acceptable to the community as the community has full faith in Constitution, Judiciary and law and order," Siddique said the memorandum will also appeal to the President to order the armed forces to attack all terrorist training camps in Pakistan "without any delay", he said adding this would end the fear of terrorist attacks in the country.
