Nagpur: Claiming that RAW had warned the Maharashtra government about entry of suspicious people into Indian waters on the day of the Mumbai terror attacks, senior BJP leader Nitin Gadkari today said the warning was ignored by authorities.
"When terrorists entered the 16 nautical mile-zone, RAW issued a warning to the state government about some suspicious people. But the security agencies did not pay attention to it," Gadkari informed the Legislative Council and demanded discussion on the issue by adjourning question hour.
Leader of opposition in council Pandurang Phundkar moved an adjournment motion demanding discussion on the Mumbai terror attacks.
His request was rejected by chairman Shivajirao Deshmukh. The opposition tried to disrupt proceedings and the House was adjourned four times.
