London: Britain will start withdrawing troops from Iraq on May 31, 2009 at the latest, Prime Minister Gordon Brown said on Thursday.
"The fundamental change of mission will take place at the latest by May 31, 2009. At that point we will start a rapid withdrawal of our troops," Brown said in a statement to parliament.
