Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today welcomed CPI-M leader Sitaram Yechuri's remarks, describing Ram Sethu as a mythical structure believed to have been constructed by Lord Ram.
Writing in the DMK's official organ Murasoli , he said Yechuri s remarks only reflected the DMK's views on the Sethusamuthram project.
"His remarks only reflect our aspiration to work together at a later day, if not today," he said in an obvious reference to the CPI-M s decision to align with the AIADMK for the Lok Sabha polls.
"You cannot mix up mythology with history. The project has been scientifically approved," Yechury had said at a meeting here yesterday.
