Bangalore: A woman, who allegedly posed as Railways Minister Lalu Prasad's relative and cheated several people here and in Tamil Nadu by promising them jobs in the Railways, has been arrested, police said.
Police said the woman identified as Prema (46) had collected amounts ranging from Rs 40,000 to Rs 60,000 from unemployed youth claiming that she was Lalu Prasad s relative and a member of the Railway Recruitment Board.
She also claimed that she was an office bearer of the RJD-led by Lalu Prasad.
Preliminary enquiries have revealed that Prema has allegedly cheated several to the tune of about Rs 30 lakh, the sources said.
