London: Three real-life "undercover" Princes, including one from India, have travelled to Britain to participate in a reality show in which they pose as ordinary bachelors in search of their soulmates.

The Princes, one of whom is a gay, were holed up in a house in the coastal city of Brighton, roamed the bars and clubs in search of their elusive partner. In their hunt they also surfed internet and speed dating.

The three reality players, include Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil (44) of Rajpipla, Gujarat.

Along with two other soulmate-hunters, Prince Remigius (44) of Jaffna in Sri Lanka and Prince Africa Zulu (30) from Zululand in South Africa, Manvendra is participating in a four-part-series reality show, called The Undercover Princes, to be broadcast on BBC 3 from January 15.

A divorced scion, crown prince Manvendra is the first Indian royal to come out publicly as homosexual and also the first male personality from India to be invited to the Oprah Winfrey chat show to discuss about gay rights.

The prominent gay rights activist inaugurated the Euro pride gay festival in Stockholm this year. Manvendra also runs an NGO Lakshya, a charitable trust dedicated to HIV/AIDS and was awarded the UNAIDS award 2006.

Under the series, the three Princes besides spending a month at a house in Brighton also took up jobs as a barman, a waiter and a hotel housekeeper in order to be convincing and find a partner who would love them for themselves and not for their riches, The Independent reported today.

At the end of the series, the bachelors will reveal their true identity to their chosen ones. They will then invite them back to live within the strictures of their royal households in their own kingdoms to find out if their new-found loves can be everlasting.
