Three persons injured in clash

Palakkad: Two CPI-M workers and one BJP activist were injured in a clash between the two groups at Kadukankunnu near Mallampuzha in the district today.

The injured were identifed as Mansoor and Viswanathan of CPI-M and Surekumar of BJP, Police said. Two injured were admitted at Thrissur Medical College Hospital, while the other was admitted to the District Hospital here.

Political rivalry was stated to tbe reason for the clash.

Police have rushed to the place and situation was now under control, the sources said.
