Security beefed at railway stations in Kota
Wednesday, December 24, 2008 18:12 [IST]
Kota: Security was tightened at all the railway stations of Kota division today after authorities received a letter threatening blasts targeting three major trains passing through the area on December 25,police said.

Additional force was deployed at the stations after the Government Railway Police (GRP) received the letter, police sources said.

Every train is being thoroughly checked with the help of sniffer dogs. GRP, RPF and police personnel have been deployed at all the stations of Kota division to deal with any eventuality, they said.

Though not ruling out the possibility of the threat letter being just a prank, they said the matter is being investigated.
