76 judges transferred in J&K

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir high court has ordered transfer of 76 judicial officers including 35 district and sessions judges, in the state. The decision was taken at a full court meeting, chaired by the acting Chief Justice Nisar Ahmed Kakru here yesterday, official sources said.

M K Hanjura - principal secretary to the chief justice has been transferred and posted as registrar general of JK high court while Abdul Wahid - registrar judicial (srinagar wing) has been transfered and posted as principal secretary to the chief justice, sources said.

19 chief judicial magistrates/sub-judges and 22 munsiffs have also been transferred and posted at different places in the state, they said.
