Rs 10 lakh missing from ICICI Bank in Pune
Thursday, December 25, 2008 20:43 [IST]
Pune: An ICICI Bank branch here has filed a complaint stating that an amount of Rs ten lakh had been found missing from its cash collection, police said today.

According to the complaint, the cashier of the bank's Ghole raod branch had kept the collected cash of Rs 59 lakh ready for its transfer to the currency section in the city yesterday.

However, when the person from the private agency entrusted with the cash transfer job came, he noticed that the amount handed over to him did not tally with the actual figure.

The CCTV system installed in the Bank had been found inoperative at the time of the alleged theft, police said.
