Kolkata: Police arrested a taxi driver who strayed into the convoy of former president A P J Abdul Kalam while he was heading for the airport today. The pilot van of the convoy intercepted the taxi at Golaghata about five km from the N S C Bose International airport and arrested the driver, police said.
The driver, Gopal Yadav, told the police that he had unwittingly strayed into the convoy and tried to speed off when he realised his mistake.
Kalam was here in connection with the inauguration of the state Science fair.
