Bihar official dies in road accident

Begusarai (Bihar): An Executive Engineer was killed and an Assistant Engineer and a Research Assistant of Road Construction Department of Bihar were injured when their jeep met with an accident on a overbridge near Mokama bypass in Patna district, police sources said.

The the driver of the jeep lost control and Executive Engineer, Manoj Kumar Verma, leading a flying squad team of the department, was killed on the spot.

Assistant Engineer Ravindra Kumar and Research Assistant Bhuvaneshwar Rai, accompanying his, were injured.

Verma, a resident of Patna's Raja Bazaar locality, was returning from Sheikhpura to Patna after conducting the road construction test.

Kumar, first admitted to Begusarai Sadar hospital was, later rushed to Patna Medical College and Hospital where he was reported to be in coma. Rai sustained minor injury.
