Education sector a top priority in AP : Reddy

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said that education sector was given a top priority in the state.

The State Government had established 17 new universities in the state as part of the Centre's planning to increase the higher education percentage from nine to 15, Reddy told reporters on the sidelines of the 11th South Zone Jesuit Alumni Conference organised by the Loyola college here.

Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated the newly constructed building of the Andhra Loyola Institute of Engineering and Technology.
