Munger/Bhagalpur: Railway Minister and RJD president Lalu Prasad today alleged that the naxal activities have increased in Bihar during NDA's rule due to "bad law and order" situation in the state.
"The recent naxalite attack on police escort party in train in Lakhisarai district showed that the naxal activities have gone up in the state," Prasad said after inaugurating the modern railway station at Jamalpur.
The Railway Minister also flagged of the newly introduced weekly train Bhagalpur-Bangalore-Yashwantpur.
The state government has "failed" in checking naxal attacks on railway properties, he charged.
Armed members of proscribed CPI (Maiost) on December 25 had attacked Bhagalpur-Muzaffarpur intercity Express on Bhagalpur-Kiul rail section in Lakhisarai district and killed two police personnel and injured one of GRP and also looted four rifles and more than 100 live cartridges.
