Haryana Assembly Budget session pre-poned
Wednesday, December 31, 2008 10:46 [IST]

Chandigarh: The budget session of the Haryana Assembly, which was earlier scheduled to start from February 6, has been pre-poned and will now be convened on February 2.

"The annual budget which was to be earlier presented on February 13 will now be presented on February 6 or Feb 7," Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda told reporters here today

Asked why the session had been pre-poned, Hooda said the decision had been taken in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections since the leaders from the state would be busy in poll campaigning later on.
