Misty morning greets Delhiites today

New Delhi: Delhiites woke up to a cold and misty morning on the last day of the year today with the minimum temperature hovering around eight degree Celsius.

The minimum was recorded at 8.2 degree Celsius, down by 0.2 degree from yesterday, the MeT department said here.

The season s lowest temperature of 6.4 degree Celsius was recorded on December 26.

Compared to last December, it is more warmer this time with minimum temperature hovering above five degrees Celsius. Last year, many days in the month witnessed minimum temperature plummeting below five degree Celsius.

The coldest day in December 2007 was recorded on 29th when mercury dipped to 3.9 degree Celsius. The coldest day for the month was recorded on December 26, 1945 when the minimum temperature was 1.1 degrees.
