1st session of MP Legislative Assembly from Jan 5

Bhopal: The first session of the nine day 13th Madhya Pradesh Assembly would be held here from January five.

Ishwar Das Rohani of BJP, who was the Speaker of the 12th Madhya Pradesh Assembly would be re-elected to the post on January 7.

The Deputy Speaker in the earlier assembly, Hazarilal Raghuvanshi of Congress lost last month's Assembly elections and the party is yet to decide on its nominee for the post.

Congress has not yet decided who will be the new Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly.

The session, beginning on January five, would last till January 13 and during these nine days, six sittings of the House are slated to be held.
