Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today greeted the people of Punjab on the eve of New Year Day.

In a message on this occasion, Badal wished the Punjabis living all over India and abroad a very happy and prosperous New Year-2009.

He said that might the Almighty shower his blessings on them and their families and bestows on all of us the strength and determination to fulfill our dreams and realize our goals for the welfare of the mankind.

The Chief Minister solicited the cooperation and support from the people of Punjab to comprehend the vision of modern, progressive Punjab in which all the Punjabi's could lead a life of dignity and self-respect.

He hoped that Punjab would soon emerge as a front-runner state in the country with the concerted, dedicated and sincere efforts of all of us.
