Jaipur: In a massive hunt operation, Rajasthan police today seized a cache of arms, mostly countrymade, from different places after arresting seven traders in Kota, a senior official said.
The seizure included two carbine, 19 pistols and 43 revolvers, the SP Kota city Vishal Bansal told PTI.
The arms were unlicensed and illegally brought by the accused from Khargaon in Madhya Pradesh, the SP said.
They are all booked in the arms act, he added.
The accused included arms traders Om Soni and Bajrang Chaurasia, the SP said, adding of the seven arrested there was one minority community person Madeen.
The raids were still on the business houses of arms dealers in a number of localities including Vigyan Nagar, Kishorepur, Makbara and Cathoonpole, he said.
